Fady Qaddoura: Standing Up for You

About Fady

I am an experienced executive, educator, researcher, and public servant.

Bringing more than 15 years of service in nonprofit, for-profit, and public sector spaces to the Hoosier community, Fady Qaddoura has time and again demonstrated the hard-working, competent and compassionate skills that are needed in a public servant at the Statehouse.

Fady has been awarded Indianapolis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 Class of 2018,” IBJ 2018 CFO of the Year, and AIM Award for Excellence in Fiscal Management.

Fady's years of community service in major nonprofit, for-profit, and public sectors roles, include:

  • 2010-2011: Gained experience at the Indiana General Assembly (legal and policy offices).
  • 2012-2015: Served as a senior government administrator in the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), where Fady helped with the expansion of the Healthy Indiana Plan 2.0 (under the Affordable Care Act).
  • 2016: Appointed by Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett as the Controller of the City of Indianapolis and Marion County to fix the city’s budget deficits, which averaged $55 million per year since 2010. Fady balanced the city’s annual budget of $1.2 billion, helped the city receive four credit upgrades from four national credit rating agencies (Moody’s, S&P, Fitch, and Kroll), and “smart-sized” the city government to save taxpayers over $70 million over 3 years.

Fady is a proud father of his two beautiful daughters, Sajida (14) and Salsabil (12), and a loving husband to his wife of 17 years, Samar. Fady's daughters previously attended Carmel Clay Schools, but after moving to Indianapolis, Sajida is now a proud Panther at North Central High School and Salsabil is enjoying her studies at Merle Sidener Academy. The Qaddoura family enjoy hiking, practicing TaeKwandoo, and playing with their two rescue cats, Magic and Rocky.
